Covid passes for clubs in England to be scrapped

On January 19, Boris Johnson announced the easing of Plan B Covid-19 restrictions in England. Plan B measures, first put in place on Dec. 15 in response to the rise in Omicron infections, included mandatory face masks, work from home, and Covid passes or negative tests to enter clubs.

Speaking in the House of Commons, Johnson told: "Our scientists believe the Omicron wave has probably peaked nationally."

THE DRUMSHEDS IS CLOSING DOWN

The Drumsheds, run by the team behind Printworks London, is located at Meridian Water in Enfield.

The former BOC gasworks comprises of 10 acres of outdoor space and 4 giant, interlinked warehouses offering a total indoor capacity of 10,000 and the venue is set to close this month. 

STUDIO 338 ANNOUNCED 2022 LINE-UPS

Studio 338 is a music and arts venue based on the Greenwich Peninsula that includes one of the largest terraced arenas in Europe.

The venue has announced that their first phase of the 2022 show is scheduled for January and February.

COLOUR FACTORY ANNOUNCED NEW RESIDENTS FOR 2022

Colour Factory is #blackowned a live music venue, nightclub & food court. A space doing its best to be safe; where inclusivity and freedom of expression reign supreme.

 

The venue has announced 2022 residents, including Ahadadream, Danielle, Mechatok and Shannen SP. Each artist will have three dates to host their very own night.

Hundreds attended illegal rave at Irish castle

On St. Stephen's Day, when Ireland was under strict restrictions, hundreds of party-goers gathered at Skyrne Castle to attend an illegal rave.

The castle was rented by rave organizers on the Airbnb website.

The event was attended by about 450 ravers and a "famous DJ" played a live set, according to EDM.com, although the identity of the DJs is still unknown.

Clubs across Europe are shutting down due to Omicron

Omicron has hit Europe and forced governments to impose new restrictions, which of course primarily affects the live music industry, including the closure of nightclubs across Europe.

The United Kingdom is taking different approaches to the unprecedented rise in the disease: more than 100,000 people every day, Wales and Scotland have already announced the closure of nightclubs for the New Year.

Northern Ireland was the latest to force clubs to close their doors from 6 am on December 26th.

COUCOU CHLOE RELEASES HER NEW EP ‘ONE’

Coucou Chloe released her debut EP just last year, she’s quickly risen to become one of the most interesting experimental producers in the London underground.

Since she dropped out of art school in her hometown of Nice, France and moved to the British capital to pursue music more seriously, she’s released two EPs. She’s also started her own record label, NUXXE, along with her frequent collaborators Sega Bodega and Shygirl.

Coucou Chloe has released her new EP, "ONE", which is her third album. This release is also a sequel to her remix of Lady Gaga's "Stupid Love".

Printworks forced to cancel the pre-Christmas shows but all the NYE ones are still going ahead!

As a result of new outbreaks of Covid-19 across Europe, Printworks London has made the heartbreaking decision to cancel some events, NYE ones are still going ahead. This came after the Netherlands announced the cancellation of all events until at least January 14, completely excluding the celebration of the New Year.
