USHUAÏA IBIZA OPENED ITS DOORS FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE 2019

Ushuaïa Ibiza opened its doors on July, 31st for the first time in over 21 months.

The event was marked by the launch of Palmarama— an open-air concept created by The Night League, the team behind Ushuaïa and Hï Ibiza, designed as a taste of the island, transforming Ushuaïa Ibiza into a Mediterranean oasis, filled with beautiful trees and lush greenery and accompanying furnishings whilst "some of the world's biggest DJs perform week after week".

Ibiza club pilot event reveals no coronavirus infections

As a result of the first pilot COVID-19 club event held in Ibiza last month, no new infections have been reported.

The pilot event took place at the Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza on Friday June 25th and attracted over 1,200 attendees.

People, who were fully vaccinated, wore masks during the whole show. The unvaccinated people also were granted entry by presenting a negative PCR, antigen test or proof of recovery in the past 6 months.

IBIZA PROPOSES BAN ON DJS WHO PLAY AT ILLEGAL PARTIES

Jose Luis Benitez, head of Ocio de Ibiza, representing Ibiza nightlife, has proposed banning DJs and producers who played illegal parties on the island during the pandemic. He proposed the idea at a weekly meeting of club owners on the island, where they discussed the growing number of illegal parties around Ibiza.

From time to time, videos of DJs appear on the network, allegedly playing at parties in mansions on the island.

Barcelona is closing indoor nightclubs

In connection with the introduction of new restrictions, Barcelona is closing indoor nightclubs due to new cases of coronavirus in Spain in June.

One of the hardest hit regions is Barcelona, ​​where there is a spike in cases among young people aged 20-29.

Barcelona decided to take action by introducing new measures, including the closure of indoor nightclubs.

Spain requires a negative PCR test or proof of vaccination for UK tourists

Clubs begin to open back up in Spain

Parts of Spain are starting to return to normal as clubs begin to open in Spanish cities including Madrid, Barcelona, Santander and others.

Boiler Room plans festivals in London, New York and Barcelona

The Boiler Room Festival returns in 2021 and the concept goes global with hybrid digital events and live parties in New York (10 September), London (13-16 October) and Barcelona (26 and 27 November).

All events will be broadcast live around the world, including workshops, films, DJs sets and live performances.

So far, few details are known about the line-up, although each of the four days in London will have a different theme song: "Jazz Mind", "Rap Fantasy", "System Sound" and "Club".
