Nightclubs have been closed in the United Kingdom for over a year due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

One suggested idea for their safe reopening is a Covid passport containing proof that a person has received the vaccine.

Ibiza said earlier that it will use such a method and will have them ready by June.

The United Kingdom's Nightlife Industry Association (NTIA) surveyed 700 businesses on how the concept will impact business.

69% of businesses believe that a Covid passport, testing or proof of immunity will have a negative impact on the business.

The rule goes into effect on June 21, when music venues can be reopened.

The Coachella Music Festival has been postponed from October 2021 to April 2022 due to the coronavirus. Usually the festival is attended by over 125 thousand people.

Last year, the event was postponed three times: first from April to October 2020, and then to April and October 2021. Due to the pandemic, the Stagecoach country festival, which usually takes place after Coachella, will also be postponed.

The legendary Glastonbury Music Festival, which has been held in the UK since 1970, will take place online in 2021.

The five-hour event will be headlined by Coldplay, Haim and DJ Honey Dijon. The organizers are also promising special guests. 

The event will take place on May 22nd. Tickets cost € 23.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Glastonbury was canceled in 2020, the festival was then supposed to be the 50th in a row.

In January, the organizers announced that the event would not take place this year either.
