Nia Archives is this year's BBC Music Introducing Artist of The Year, making her the first electronic artist to win the award since it launched in 2014.
BBC Introducing broke the news on Instagram in November 3rd, with the Bradford-born jungle artist receiving the award from BBC DJs Roesh and Jaguar. The accolade follows her recent victory at the AIM Independent Music Awards in the “One To Watch” category.

MPs were told that little action is being taken against perpetrators of misogyny in the music industry, warning that the inadequate response is deterring women from coming forward with complaints.
The findings are part of a public inquiry into misogyny in the music industry, Wednesday (October 26) marked the first parliamentary evidence session.
Figures presented to the session report that of the few women who report their treatment, 20% say "nothing is done" — with some even being issues gag orders.

The new theme, first shared on October 21, hopes to pay respect to the animal world, according to a post penned by return Burning Man resident and director of Burning Man Project's Philosophical Center, Stuart Mangrum in The Burning Man Journal.
In the post, Mangrum explained that Animalia will “celebrate the animal world and our place in it,” exploring “animals real and imagined, mythic and remembered."

Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) has just concluded its 27th edition over this past week, the Dutch festival has gathered monumental success, seeing 2022 as a record-breaking year, with over 450,000 visitors descending on the city of Amsterdam for the event. Because of this success, the event has quickly announced dates for it’s 2023 edition, its 28th, which will be taking place October 18th till 22nd.
