Mixcloud has released a year-end data, highlighting state-by-state listening habits, worldwide trends, and other insightful ways listeners engaged with the platform’s 1.2 million Creators and 12 million DJ sets, radio shows, and Podcasts throughout 2017 – and a lot of it is quite surprising.

2018 is here and we entered it with great loads of work and a fun filled NYE. With Djanemag India events happening in cities like Mumbai it was indeed eventful. Djanes rocked the scene across the country with gigs at most cities and premier venues. They delivered their promise of only music and no bullshit. The industry may have been male dominated and till date Djanes may have been exploited but this festive season the game did change. In fact we also had Djanes from other countries playing the desi beats too and enthralling the audiences with their music styles. 

SoundCloud took a look back at the year that was and told us their top-ranking artists and tracks of 2017.

At the top, rapper Lil Uzi Vert has the Top Album of the year with Luv is Rage 2, while the Top Electronic Track went to Unlike Pluto with ‘Everything Black.’

Serato just released a new update to Serato Sample, the plugin that lets you do cue point trigger-style sampling in your digital audio workstation. Now at version 1.1, it brings support for the new macOS High Sierra operating system, and also adds workflow improvements like the ability to undo/redo and an assignable headphone cue output.
