Rezz Cancels 2026 Shows, Announces Touring Hiatus
The Canadian producer has cancelled her remaining 2026 shows and stepped away from touring indefinitely, turning a difficult announcement into a necessary conversation about health, pressure and longevity in electronic music
Rezz is stepping away from touring indefinitely, and her decision deserves more than a headline about cancelled shows.
The Canadian DJ and producer, born Isabelle Rezazadeh, announced that she has cancelled her six remaining 2026 performances to focus on her health. The news follows a difficult period for the artist, who had already withdrawn from the second weekend of Coachella 2026 in April after saying she needed to put her health first.
For fans, the announcement is painful. For the electronic music industry, it should also be a moment of reflection. Touring is often treated as the ultimate sign of success: more cities, more festivals, more flights, more stages. But behind that constant visibility, artists are still human beings. Their bodies do not run on applause, pressure or expectation.

A pause that says more than a cancellation
In her statement, Rezz explained that the past few months had forced her to stop. She said she had tried to push through, but touring and the stress connected to it were making her condition worse. Continuing, she made clear, was no longer sustainable for her health.
According to Pollstar, the cancelled dates included major appearances such as Tomorrowland, Beyond Wonderland, îLESONIQ and her annual Red Rocks performance. Still, this should not be read as the end of her artistic presence. Rezz also told fans that music remains part of her life and that she still has songs to release.
What is ending, at least for now, is the demand of the road.

Why Rezz’s decision matters for the DJ scene
As a publication dedicated to women in electronic music, DJane Mag sees this moment as more than a news update. It is an example of a conversation the scene still needs to have with more honesty: the pressure placed on artists to remain constantly visible, constantly available and constantly strong.
That pressure affects DJs across the industry. But for women in electronic music, it can come with additional layers of scrutiny. Female artists are often expected to deliver the set, maintain the image, carry the brand, absorb public expectations and still appear resilient while doing it.
When health becomes the reason to stop, the response should not be judgment. It should be respect.
Rezz has built one of the most recognizable identities in modern electronic music through sound, atmosphere, visual language and a deeply loyal fan community. Her impact has never depended only on how many dates she could play in a year. It was built through artistic consistency, a clear universe and a connection that made her stand apart in a crowded global scene.

Health should not be the hidden cost of success
Electronic music can be an extraordinary space of freedom, connection and transformation. But the touring economy behind it is demanding. Long flights, irregular sleep, pressure to perform, public attention and constant movement can create a rhythm that is difficult to sustain, even for artists at the highest level.
Rezz’s choice to pause is not a weakness. It is a boundary. It is also a reminder to fans, promoters, media and the wider industry that an artist’s value cannot be measured only by availability.
There is power in continuing. There is also power in knowing when to stop.
DJane Mag sends support to Rezz
At DJane Mag, our mission has always been to highlight women in electronic music not only when they are on stage, but also when their stories reveal what the scene needs to learn.
Rezz’s decision deserves empathy, respect and support. It reminds the industry that behind every headline, every festival poster and every sold out show is a person whose health must come first.
We wish Rezz strength, recovery and peace during this period. The stage can wait. Health cannot.
