Faithless Celebrate 30 Years With Special Open Air Shows in Bristol and Manchester

Anniversary performances mark three decades of the group’s legacy while Sister Bliss and Rollo honour Maxi Jazz with a powerful new live chapter

Bristol Harbourside Show Marks a Historic Anniversary Weekend

Legendary electronic music act Faithless are celebrating 30 years of groundbreaking influence with a series of major open air performances across the United Kingdom in 2026, including landmark shows in Bristol and Manchester.

The celebrations include a rare waterfront performance at Lloyds Amphitheatre on Bristol’s Harbourside on July 24 as part of the Siren Bristol summer series. The show marks three decades since the release of the group’s iconic 1996 debut album Reverence, the record that introduced the global anthem Insomnia and helped redefine electronic music for a generation. The Bristol event will open a milestone weekend in the city, preceding HOSPITAL30 ON THE HARBOUR, which takes place the following day at the same venue. Across two consecutive nights, Bristol will host two institutions celebrating 30 year anniversaries in the same year, reinforcing the city’s importance as a cultural hub for electronic music heritage.

Manchester Outdoor Performance Expands the Anniversary Celebrations

In addition, Faithless will perform a major outdoor live show at Barton Aerodrome in Manchester on Friday, July 3, 2026, as part of the newly launched Barton Live summer concert series. The performance will feature a full live production in a large scale open air setting, allowing the group to showcase their signature fusion of electronic energy, live instrumentation, and emotionally charged songwriting. The set is expected to draw from a celebrated catalogue spanning three decades, including era defining anthems such as Insomnia, God Is A DJ, and Salva Mea.

For the Manchester event, Barton Aerodrome will be transformed with bespoke staging, immersive sound design, and large scale lighting production. Gates will open at 17:00, with last entry at 20:00 and the event concluding at 23:00. The venue’s expansive grass layout, on site parking, and strong transport connections position it as an accessible summer destination for fans across the region.

A Legacy That Continues After Maxi Jazz

Formed in 1995, Faithless went on to achieve 10 UK Top 10 singles and six Top 5 albums, including three UK Number One records, alongside global sales exceeding 20 million albums. Their influence has extended across generations, with the Faithless 2.0 project revisiting their catalogue through contributions from artists such as Avicii, Tiësto, Armin van Buuren, and Claptone. Their 2020 album All Blessed further demonstrated the group’s continued creative relevance.

The anniversary shows also carry emotional significance following the passing of frontman Maxi Jazz in 2022. Founding members Sister Bliss and Rollo now lead the live performances, honouring his legacy while continuing the message of unity, spirituality, and connection that has always defined the project. Artists including Kosheen and Milly On Air are also scheduled to appear at the Bristol event, adding local depth to an already historic occasion.

Barton Live Series Positions Manchester as a New Concert Destination

The Manchester date forms part of Barton Live, a new four day outdoor concert series launching at Barton Aerodrome in Eccles. Designed as a curated run of large scale summer shows, the series positions the historic location as a new destination for major live music events in the North West. The lineup across the weekend also includes David Gray, Craig David Presents, and the Electric Heart Festival featuring The Fratellis, Scouting For Girls, The Feeling, The Hoosiers, Toploader, and Dodgy.

After three decades of shaping global dance music culture, Faithless continue to demonstrate their enduring impact as one of the most influential electronic acts in history. The 30 year anniversary performances in Bristol and Manchester promise to be defining moments that celebrate both legacy and evolution while connecting generations of fans through timeless music.
