Tomorrowland DJ Academy reflects on a year of breakthrough artists in 2025

Discover the personal success stories shaping a new generation of artists

As 2025 comes to a close, the Tomorrowland Academy looks back on a year defined by transformation, growth, and real career breakthroughs. Among the most powerful narratives of the year are those led by women, who not only reached major milestones but also helped reshape representation and visibility within the global electronic music scene.

From commanding Tomorrowland stages to earning international recognition and industry support, female artists within the Academy proved that talent, persistence, and community can open doors once considered unreachable. Their journeys set the tone for a year in which diversity, authenticity, and artistic confidence stood at the center of success.

Alongside these inspiring stories, 2025 also marked a defining chapter for a broader group of Academy students, from breakthrough producers to young prodigies and international performers. Together, they represent the next wave of artists shaped by education, opportunity, and creative freedom.

Founded in 2022, Tomorrowland Academy has grown into a global education platform offering online and physical programs in DJing, music production, performance skills, and personal branding, equipping artists at every level with the tools and confidence to thrive.

Elisa Amaral, 41, from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, discovered DJing in 2010 after stepping behind the decks for a friend at a club. That moment sparked a deep connection with music and the dance floor, leading her to dedicate herself fully to the craft.

Over the years, Elisa competed in three major Tomorrowland contests, placing 5th at Tomorrowland Winter, 3rd in Belgium, and 2nd in Brazil. Her involvement with the Academy expanded beyond competition, offering access to education, mentorship, and a strong artistic community.

“I initially joined because of the Tomorrowland contests. I had the dream of playing at the festival, and to my surprise, I discovered an incredible community behind it all, as well as courses and workshops that I truly benefited from.”

Her growth led to performances at Tomorrowland Brasil, the Amsterdam Dance Event, and an exclusive set on One World Radio, solidifying her role as both artist and inspiration.

“What impacted me most wasn’t the contest results, but what came afterward. Being invited to play at Tomorrowland and seeing such strong support among women in the crowd was deeply inspiring.”
