Amsterdam Dance Event 2025 Kicks Off This Wednesday: 3,300 Artists Take Over the City

Amsterdam Dance Event 2025 kicks off this Wednesday with 3,300 artists, parties, and cultural events across Amsterdam

Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) 2025 kicks off this Wednesday, October 22, turning the Dutch capital into the global heart of electronic music. The 29th edition brings together 3,300 artists, 10,000 professionals, and over 600,000 visitors across 200 venues — from museums and churches to industrial warehouses.

Running through Sunday, October 26, ADE combines massive club nights with cultural events, workshops, and conferences that connect music lovers of all ages and backgrounds.

Highlights of ADE 2025

The festival features 110 free public events alongside ticketed showcases and panels. This year’s theme celebrates inclusion and innovation, with special attention to sober clubbing, a growing movement for people who love to dance without alcohol.

Another highlight is the return of the Kids Rave, an initiative that gives young DJs a platform to perform and learn in a safe, creative space.

Kids Rave: The Future of DJing

For ADE 2025, Kids Rave — a global non-profit platform dedicated to the next generation of DJs — returns bigger than ever. After making history last year as the first kids’ event in the official ADE lineup, this year’s edition runs October 24–26 live from Moxy Amsterdam Houthavens with the Kids Rave Radio team.

The event features 24 young DJs from across Europe, Dubai, and Japan, joined by established artists such as DJ Jean, Charly Lownoise, Bassbrain, Charles B., Sartek, and DEEPACK. The project also highlights young female talent, with Julia (13), Lynn (13), and Li Jay (11) among the performers.

Their mission is simple: to inspire passion for electronic music based on authenticity and creativity rather than commercial ambition.
