Rapid tests are likely to be used to allow clubs to reopen in the UK

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said that rapid tests are likely to be used to allow clubs to reopen in the UK.

Boris Johnson finally made reference to clubs while discussing the safe reopening of companies during a press conference at Downing Street 10.

He said the rapid tests could be used to reopen companies that have been "the most difficult nuts to break, so to speak, like nightclubs ... those parts of the economy that we were unable to open last year."

Johnson said that while mass vaccination is the overall goal to reopen the country safely, with each adult in the UK hoping to be vaccinated by early September, the rapid test used in combination with vaccination will likely be for nightlife.
