Spotify has seen a large increase in traffic at its cancellation page from premium users

The number of users thinking about canceling their Spotify music subscription has almost tripled in the last few weeks, and is was 196% the previous week!

“This is a huge spike. It implies people were passionate about the issue and took immediate action. We’ll see if it keeps rising.” , Lead Researcher at Spotify commented.

The platform’s support for The Joe Rogan Experience podcast has been identified as the primary reason for this backlash. 

Regan has already apologized for the racist slurs used in several older episodes of the podcast, the situation looks far out of control as artists and viewers have been busy criticizing and boycotting Spotify for weeks.

In fact, some very famous artists have left the platform by deleting their content.
