Spain not open for mass international tourism until 'the end of summer'

Spain will not welcome international tourists until the end of summer, Spanish prime minister predicted last week in a recent meeting with Executive Council Of The World Tourism Organization.

"Only mass vaccination will open the way to the normality we want," said Sánchez, who stressed this would be more likely towards around September.

Such news came as a blow to Spanish festivals and smaller venues and promoters also rely on tourism, especially in major dance music hubs such as Madrid, Ibiza and Barcelona.

No doubt, Spain has an immense live music scene, hosting such electronic music events like Sónar, DGTL Barcelona and Madrid, Unite with Tomorrowland, and clubs like Ushuaïa, Hï, Amnesia, Privilege and many more.
