MESTIZA Release ‘Que Calor’ Before Historic Hï Ibiza Residency and New Album Spanish Chica
The Spanish duo will become the first female act to headline a full-season residency in the main room of Hï Ibiza while preparing their second album
Spanish electronic duo MESTIZA are turning up the heat in 2026 with the release of their new single ‘Que Calor, Que Calor’, a Latin-infused track arriving ahead of their highly anticipated second album Spanish Chica, scheduled for April 10. The MESTIZA project continues to expand globally as the artists prepare for a historic Ibiza residency this summer, marking a major milestone in their career.
‘Que Calor’ showcases MESTIZA’s signature fusion of tradition and electronic music
The new single highlights the sonic identity that has defined MESTIZA since their formation. Built around hypnotic percussion, rhythmic handclaps and deep melodic textures, the track blends flamenco-inspired elements with contemporary afro house and melodic techno structures.
The result is a slow-burning, emotionally charged production designed for peak-time dancefloor moments. The tension builds gradually, creating a ritualistic atmosphere that reflects the duo’s artistic vision of transforming club spaces into immersive cultural experiences.
‘Que Calor, Que Calor’ serves as another preview of Spanish Chica, the follow-up to their debut album Quëreles, which reached number one in Spain during its first week upon release in 2023.
Historic Hï Ibiza residency marks a milestone for female representation
One of the biggest announcements surrounding the duo is their upcoming residency at Hï Ibiza, widely recognized as the world’s number one club. MESTIZA will become the first female act to headline a full-season residency in the venue’s iconic Theatre room, the main space of the superclub.
The residency will run every Sunday from May 31 through October 4, totaling 19 dates during the Ibiza summer season. While female DJs have played major roles in Ibiza nightlife for decades, leading a complete season in the main room of a global superclub represents a significant cultural breakthrough for the industry.
This achievement positions MESTIZA at the forefront of a broader movement toward greater female visibility and leadership within electronic music.

Coachella debut and global tour expand international reach
In addition to Ibiza, the duo will also perform at Coachella in April, where they are the only Spanish female act featured in the 2026 lineup. Their appearance at the renowned California festival further confirms their growing international presence.
Their touring schedule includes performances across multiple continents, with stops ranging from Bali to Bucharest, as well as appearances during Miami Music Week and Milan Fashion Week. This expansion reflects the scale of their ambitions and the increasing global demand for their sound.
From solo careers to a global electronic project
MESTIZA was formed in 2021 after both artists spent more than a decade developing individual careers. Their collaboration quickly revealed a strong creative chemistry, allowing them to build a project that merges music, fashion, visual storytelling and cultural symbolism.
Each performance is designed as more than a DJ set. Instead, the duo approaches live shows as immersive experiences that combine artistic narrative, aesthetics and emotional connection with audiences.
2026 could define MESTIZA’s global breakthrough
With a new album on the horizon, a historic Ibiza residency and major festival appearances lined up, 2026 is shaping up to be the most important year of MESTIZA’s career so far.
The release of ‘Que Calor, Que Calor’ signals a new phase of artistic evolution and confirms the duo’s trajectory toward the upper tier of the global electronic music scene. As anticipation builds for their Ibiza season and the arrival of Spanish Chica, MESTIZA continue to redefine what a modern electronic act can represent.
