Internationally respected DJ Maya Jane Coles releases Weak/Werk EP

Internationally respected producer, DJ and label boss Maya Jane Coles releases Weak/Werk EP. The perfect teaser before her highly anticipated forthcoming second LP ‘Take Flight’, dropping August 25. ‘Weak/Werk’ follows ‘Take Flight’s’ debut single ‘Won’t Let You Down’, which received widespread acclaim winning the favor of taste-maker DJs like Pete Tong who made ‘Cherry Bomb’ his Essential New Tune. Adding to her artistic integrity, ‘Weak/Werk’ is a powerful snapshot of Maya’s fiercely unique and independent approach to making music that hints to the dynamic production on the rest of the ‘Take Flight’ album.

‘Weak’ kicks things off with Maya’s signature drum programming, brooding atmospherics and echoing sound design. The track shows off Maya’s much-loved trademark sound and also takes it to new territories with her full vocal verses.

‘Werk’ is designed for the dancefloor with jittering percussion that rides alongside a hypnotic bassline and dubbed-out stabs reminiscent of her early work. There will also be a remix package to follow.
