Future is here: SWG3 IS USING DANCERS BODY HEAT TO POWER THE CLUB

SWG3 nightclub  is testing a new system that will use the body heat of the ravers to power the lights, music and electricity in the venue.

The test will be launched in Glasgow for the first time in November. The "Renewable Heating and Cooling System" will work by converting the heat from the dancers and staff into energy.

It is assumed that the human body generates 100 watts of excess heat - even before dancing or doing exercise. Thus, when the ravers gather together in a room, the average excess heat must be increased enough to generate enough energy to power the entire room. This energy will then be used to power electricity, gas, lighting and, of course, the sound system. This new system is expected to reduce 70 tonnes of CO2 annually.

The Glasgow event aims to reduce carbon emissions through the Going Net Zero program, a scheme that helps establishments and businesses around the world to fully reduce their carbon footprint.
