DENMARK TO REMOVE ALL COVID MEASURES
From February 1, Denmark will become the first EU country to lift all coronavirus restrictions.
Thus the music industry will return to normal.
The health minister assured the country that the Omicron BA.2 sub-option may appear more contagious but not as severe.
BA.2 became recognized as the dominant strain in the second week of January, however, according to the Evening Standard, the BA.1 Omicron strain currently accounts for 98% of cases worldwide.
Europe is gradually phasing out restrictions.
From February 1, the regime of the so-called targeted lockdown for the unvaccinated ends in Austria. It was introduced in November last year and consisted in the fact that people who were not vaccinated could leave their homes only in certain cases, for example, to buy groceries. The authorities said the lifting of this measure is due to the fact that the country's healthcare system is no longer threatened by an excessive burden.
Last week, the lower house of the country's parliament voted to introduce mandatory vaccination for citizens over 18 years of age. The law is expected to come into force on February 4.
