THE CAUSE ANNOUNCED FUNDRAISER FOR DRUG AWARENESS

The Cause organized a fundraiser for drug awareness and harm reduction.

The event, called RAVE SAFE, will raise money for the non-profit organization Loop.

It will take place on Sunday, August 15, at the Tottenham Arena from 13:00 to 23:00.

The announcement follows the death of 21-year-old Bill on July 31. Bill passed away after a suspected drug overdose. He had attended a party at The Cause the night before.

"Following the tragic events that occurred on Saturday 31st July, where we lost a young soul after attending a party with us the night before and being rushed to hospital. It is suspected that the cause of death is a drugs overdose.

Sadly tragedies like these have struck venues across the UK since we have all been allowed to re-open. Our team was left absolutely devastated and all our thoughts are with the friends and family. We at The Cause feel it is imperative that as we re-open it is with respect and the full spirit of the project. As such, we will not shy away from what has happened.

Incidents like these should have no place in our nightlife and we want to help educate and raise awareness as much as possible. We, therefore, close our first weekend back with a large fundraiser for the drugs awareness and harm reduction organisation @theloop_uk , so together we can help push the mission to educate on the dangers and risks of the personal choice drug-taking can have.

Our last-minute fundraisers have previously featured the likes of Four Tet, Jamie xx, HAAI, Call Super, Shanti Celeste, Leon Vynehall, Machine Woman & many more. Whilst we work on a full line-up, we ask of you to have faith in us delivering a special occasion for an amazing cause."
