Festival guide: Awakenings 2016
Awakenings Festival is the highlight of the Europe techno music calendar and one of the most important electronic events in Europe. With more than 70.000 visitors in a weekend, Awakenings Festival is one of the largest outdoor techno festival in the world.
Awakenings' first festival was in 2001 and started as a one day festival. Nowadays it’s a two-day festival with eight stages, programmed with a line-up representing the top in techno music and its sub-genres.
ARTISTS:
Techno pioneers such as Richie Hawtin, Adam Beyer and Sven Väth, are spinning records alongside rising stars like Florinsz Janvier, Sonja Moonear and Mind Against. During 11 hours on both days, there are over 100 techno DJ’s spinning their best sounds for one of most faithful crowds. This year we will have a great chance to enjoy sets of such techno queens as Nicole Moudaber, Fatima Hajji and Nina Kraviz!
