SARAH ROBERTSON Biography

SARAH ROBERTSON

Sarah grew up with music being a major part of her life. Starting violin and music theory at the age of 5 and continuing for over 10 years, it was only a matter of time before she made the transition into the electronic music industry.

After launching her DJ career in 2010 on the Gold Coast with a residency at a local Sunday afternoon hot spot, within 2 years, she has launched herself into a whirlwind tour around the globe and made herself a prominent artist on the international touring circuit.

With modelling taking the back seat, Sarahs passion for music became her career once she was thrown into international stardom as the Resident Playboy Bunny DJ at the Playboy Club, China, 6 nights a week. Her impressive skills behind the decks and ear for music, landed her a monthly residency at an exclusive Hong Kong hot spot, Republik.

This, along with her guest spot with club brand HED KANDI at the Hed Kandi Pool Party, at the Venetian in Macau, where she supported UK DJ/Producer Stuart Ojelay, established Sarahs niche within the Asian market as a force not be reckoned with. From her chilled funky house beats, to high energy electro/house sets, she gets the poolside groovin and packed clubs dancing til dawn.

The end of 2011 saw Sarah touring alongside Australias number 1 DJ duo team, Stafford Brothers and Timmy Trumpet throughout Thailand whilst they filmed the second season of their reality TV Show. Sarah smashed through 9 gigs over 8 days, headlined the Black Moon Party to thousands of party goers from all over the world, and carved up Nikki Beach while the sun set, to only mention some of the highlights..

Sarah has caught the eye of many influential people recently, and in August last year, was personally invited by Hugh Hefner to the Midsummer Nights Dream Party at the Playboy Mansion in America where she mingled with the LA A-listers and made her mark in Las Angeles!

Since, she has graced the decks at the Playboy Mansion in LA alongside Steel Panther, Sasha Grey, and headlined the Official Playboy Mansion Grammys After Party in February hosted by Sean Diddy Combs, where she DJed to, and walked the red carpet alongside Paris Hilton, Afrojack, Busta Rhymes, Pamela Anderson and Chris Brown to name only a few of the stars present that night. Sarah will be back entertaining the Playboy Mansion party-goers again in August for her regular Rock the Mansion party.

Whilst Sarah was traveling around the world, back home in Australia, she had been selected as one of the top 10 finalists of EMIs - She Can DJ female DJ search throughout Australia and New Zealand wide, where she was recognized within the industry as a valuable, talented female artist, carving her way through the Australian dance music scene.

Summafieldayze festival was Sarahs debut on the Gold Coast since the return from her overseas travels. Her identifiable bangin sounds have successfully landed her bookings for numerous festivals throughout 2012, where you can see her dominate each and every set!

The last 2 years have seen Sarah DJing alongside and supporting artists such Snoop Dog, Flo Rida, LMFAO, Moby, Justice, Calvin Harris, Pendulum, Steel Panther, Sasha Grey, Stanton Warriors, Bombs Away, Sneaky Sound System, Stuart OJelay, Stafford Brothers, Timmy Trumpet and many more...

Whilst at home and based on the party capital city of Australia, the Gold Coast, Sarah continues touring nationwide weekly and can be spotted monthly at her new residency in the Pure at the number one underground dance club on the Gold Coast, Platinum.

Between the prestigious events Sarah appears and performs at, the numerous photo shoots, interviews and media campaigns, traveling and DJing, Sarah is also passionately working in the studio, producing her own music to be released to the public in 2012.

With upcoming gigs in America, New Zealand and tours in India, Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia and Indonesia set for 2012, Sarah is going to be living her passions, and taking the world by storm!
